Woollim ensures trolls pay in court

Woollim Entertainment, home to K-pop groups Infinite, Lovelyz, Golden Child and Rocket Punch, announced on Tuesday that cyber bullies attacking their performers have been legally sentenced, adding that they will not stop protecting the artists.

According to the agency, they began their battle with internet trolls last year on Dec. 28, after gathering evidence themselves and from fans.

“We concluded that the spread of false lies, the malicious comments, sexual harassments and defamation had crossed a line that we could not overlook anymore,” the agency said.

“We had reported those who posted and spread such contents online, and they were sentenced with punishments including fines.”

The agency said it will keep monitoring and collecting data to make sure they protect their artists and take legal measures against anyone who infringes upon their rights.

“There will be no mercy for transgressors,” the agency said.
