Couple Weds at COEX's Mega Webstation
At 1 p.m. on May 21, a wedding took place at the Mega Webstation, the massive Internet cafe in the COEX mall in Kangnam, Seoul. Wizgate computer game company manager Shon Seung-chul, 35, married Wizgate service team chief Choi Hee-young, 28, in this unusual setting.Wedding guests totalled almost 3,600. However, only 600 of the guests were actually at the Mega Webstation; the other 3,000 guests helped the newlyweds celebrate in front of their computer monitors.
"I correspond with many people because of my job, and I wanted them all to be there to help me celebrate my wedding. That's why I decided to have on-line guests, too," said Mr. Shon of his unique wedding ceremony.
