Japanese Tidal Wave Expected on Cheju Island
Because of the upcoming Japanese "Golden Week" holiday, which begins April 29 and lasts until May 5, the number of Japanese tourists traveling to Cheju Island is expected to surge.According to the Cheju Tour Association, more than 5,200 Japanese visitors have made reservations for Cheju during this period.
A string of consecutive holidays, including May Day (May 1), Constitution Memorial Day (May 3), People's Holiday (May 4) and Children's Day (May 5) fall during the "Golden Week" holiday.
