KBS And SBS To Sue Research Centers
The Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) and the Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) may sue public opinion research centers like Media Research for damage resulting from research centers' incorrect predictions about the 16th General Election.On April 16, representatives from both stations stated, "We plan to claim ten million won for each election district in which research centers exceeded the prediction error limit. Since there are fifteen districts that were incorrectly assessed, our claim for compensation is worth a total of one hundred fifty million won."
Meanwhile, the Election Broadcasting Council will hold an 'opinion hearing session' on April 17 which will focus on election misinformation related by Korea's three major broadcasting centers.
