KBS to Air Special Program on FBI
Published: 04 Jan. 2003, 18:14
The Korea Broadcasting System (KBS) is to air a special edition of its regular show 'Wednesday Planning' entitled 'Come to the Federal Bureau of Investigation of the United States' on November 17.
KBS produced the program to introduce the FBI, as its head recently came to Korea in order to attend the Interpol plenary session and to negotiate with the Korean government on the establishment of an FBI branch office in Korea.
Reports on the FBI Academy, the FBI branch office in Washington D.C., and Korean FBI agents Mr. Shim and his wife, will be shown on the program.
In particular, footage of the FBI's special anti-terrorist forces (SWAT team) and the Quantico Academy where FBI special agents are trained will be televised for the first time in Korea, and is likely to attract attention from the nation.
