With the help of many Internet users, one leukemia patient is becoming more hopeful of living a normal life again.
On April 20, JoongAng Ilbo received a call about a patient desperately in need of blood for a transfusion.
Upon receiving this call, JoongAng Ilbo immediately posted information about the patient on its website on www.joins.com. As a result, many Internet users expressed their desire to help leukemia patient Kim Joo-yong(40).
It was discovered later that it was Kim's wife, Ahn Choon-ja, 40, that made the call. In an interview she said, "I didn't consider the fact that JoongAng Ilbo is a morning newspaper. We greatly appreciate the many calls we've received by people who want to help but more are still needed."
