Stricter Regulation of Agricultural Products Coming

Providing product information is no longer sufficient to ensure the reliability of environmentally friendly agricultural products. All agricultural products will soon be required to receive government certification as well as provide product information.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has announced plans to unify these two methods of marking products and will apply its government certification law from the beginning of next year.
Environmentally friendly agricultural products have not been considered completely reliable because many have been circulating on the market without any certification whatsoever.
Three simplified categories with which to classify the products have been designed, including organic (grown without any chemical fertilizer for over three years), chemical free, and low chemical (products grown using half the normal amount of fertilizer).
