Travel by Ship to Cheju Island

The Port of Inchon and Cheju Korea are planning to offer a new package tour to include a ferryboat cruise and a hiking tour of Halla Mountain in Cheju Island. The passenger ship service will depart from Inchon and arrive in Cheju.
The new package will not only aid an ailing passenger ship industry, but also give Koreans living in and around Seoul the opportunity to travel to Cheju Island by a cruise ship.
Anyone pressed for time can complete the trip in a single day. With the boat leaving Inchon at 8 a.m. and returning the same day at night.
An official from the Port of Inchon said that, "the cruise is much more affordable than an airplane ticket, and traveling by sea also affords tourists the opportunity to actually take pleasure in their surroundings. We anticipate a great deal of interest in our tour."
