[NEW FILMS]"Dul, Hana, Sex" (Yellow Flower)

Erotic, drama / 85 min. / Korean --- Opens Friday

This experimental and controversial movie finally comes to a single screen in downtown Seoul, the Seoul Art Cinema at the Artsonje Center. The nation's ratings committee had refused to rate the film in order to ban it, but the producers went to court to force the agency to extend a rating.

The movie consists of two stories. In one, a young couple obsessed with sex is mysteriously shot and killed. In the other, a boy and girl, both 19 years old, make a pact to live only until they reach 20. They indulge in hedonism -- going to clubs and doing drugs and crimes -- heedless of the consequences.

The director, Lee Ji-sang, says the movie is in honor of his favorite poet, Kim Soo-young. The movie was originally called "Kim Soo-young Sex."
