[NEW FILMS]"The Great Dictator"Comedy / 124 min. / English -- Opens Friday
Charlie Chaplin's bitter but brilliant satire of Adolf Hitler is available on VHS in Korea, but how often do you have the chance to see a classic like this on the big screen?
Chaplin plays both a humble, unnamed Jewish barber in a ghetto in Tomania and the buffoon dictator Adenoid Hynkel. Hynkel orders the Jews to be rounded up, but the barber is mistaken for the fascist leader, and soon finds himself in charge of the country.
The downtown art house cinema Cine Cube presents the Korean reissue of the only "talkie" ever made by Charles Chaplin (as he was always credited), directed in 1940.
