[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Speak out for U.S. troopsI, like many Americans, am very upset about news accounts of students in South Korea demonstrating in mass against the American troops stationed in your country.
When it is obvious to anyone with any sense what the North has to offer you, we just can’t understand why more effort is not expended in teaching these students the historical background and the need for our troops to be there.
Although I defend the students’ right to demonstrate, what I don’t support is the government’s and especially the news media’s lack of transparency on this issue.
Speak out in favor of the troops. Speak out loudly, or work to have them sent home. I found your article on the Internet.
