[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]At the end of resources
I was shocked to read on Dec. 20 of the two children who died when their father threw them off a bridge in Seoul, apparently overwhelmed by enormous gambling debts. Korean cultural attitudes towards children and financial difficulties do not adequately explain this tragic event.The father needs help, and Korea needs a system to protect children from such people.
I would eagerly adopt any child whose parents have exhausted their resources, financial or emotional. Please put any of your readers who feel that way in touch with me. No more tragedies.
