[LETTERS TO THE EDITOR]Aid not for North’s people

This is in reference to your editorial, “U.S. hardliners need reassuring” (March 12).
Your statement, “Therefore, the government needs to work on its diplomacy toward the United States and let American politicians know that the principle of cooperation between their country and South Korea stands so that we are not unnecessarily misunderstood,” makes no sense at all.
You fail to understand that what is happening is that you are being understood! You and your policy of propping up Kim Jong-il, sending aid that, instead of being used to aid the people, is sold to another country so that Kim and his friends divide the profits.
