[TALK OF THE TOWN]Fashionista’s ‘Dream’ of singing comes to fruition with a new album
There’s no doubt that Jang Yun-ju, 28, is one of Korea’s representative fashion models. But now Jang may become a professional vocalist, too.
The model, who debuted in 1997 at the Seoul Fashion Artist’s Association’s Seoul Collection, released an album titled “Dream” last week.
The album contains 12 songs - all written and produced by Jang, including “Fly Away” and “April.”
Last Friday, she appeared on KBS-2 TV’s “Lee Ha-na’s Peppermint,” a music program that replaced “Yoon Do-hyun’s Love Letter.” She said, “I loved music even before I became a model. Becoming a musician was one of my longtime dreams.”
She’s been preparing to become a singer-songwriter since she was 22 by receiving piano lessons.
