Swoop southward for sweetfish season

Korail is offering a one-day package to the Bonghwa Eun-uh Festival in Bonghwa County, North Gyeongsang. Now in its 11th year, the annual festival offers visitors a chance to catch eun-uh, or sweetfish, with their bare hands.

Visitors will then get an opportunity to barbecue the freshwater fish.

The tour costs 39,000 won ($31.24) for adults and 35,000 won for children.

Buses now bouncing around Hong Kong

The Hong Kong Tourism Board is offering tour packages at a discounted price until Aug. 31. The latest package is a joint promotion with NP 360, Big Bus and Bauhinia. Visitors can experience Harbor Cruise Bauhinia at a 20 percent discount, enjoying an hour and a half ride on the water off the shores of Hong Kong as well as a buffet dinner.

The Big Bus Tour of the city is being offered at HK$50 (US$6.45). The double-decker bus provides visitors a chance to take in various landmarks around the city.

The Ngong Ping 360 tour, offered at a 10 percent discount, involves a scenic cable car ride to Ngong Ping village.
