Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (A)

Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) is back at Hogwarts, and as always he is more than excited to be there. Not only is he in his sixth year at school, but he comes upon a potions book that once belonged to a mysterious figure known as the Half-Blood Prince. With the book to help him along, Harry greatly improves his magic skills and gets ahead in a class led by new professor Horace Slughorn (Jim Broadbent). In the meantime, love is in the air for Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson). But the war with Lord Voldemort isn’t over. Dark shadows lurk over both the Muggle and wizard worlds as trouble begins to take shape. Can Harry help Professor Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) and defeat Voldemort once and for all? Based on the best-selling book by J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the sixth movie in the Harry Potter film series.



The Haunting in Connecticut (15)

Sara and Peter Campbell (Virginia Madsen, Martin Donovan) move their family to Connecticut for their son Matt’s (Kyle Gallner) cancer treatments. Sara knows that their new place was previously used as a funeral home but doesn’t say anything to the rest of the family. When Matt starts hallucinating and experiencing supernatural events, his parents initially blame it on the boy’s medical treatments. But a series of ominous incidents occur when their daughter’s leg falls through the attic floor and Matt comes upon a box of creepy photos. One night, Matt finds himself marked with strange carvings. Based on a true story, The Haunting in Connecticut is a psychological supernatural horror film.



Fish Story (12)

In 1975, a year before the legendary punk band Sex Pistols made their loud debut, an amateur rock group called Gekirin recorded a single called “Fish Story.” However, it was the group’s final song together, as the band decided to split after the recording.

Fast-forward to 2012, and the song is finally reaching an audience. After decades of obscurity, Gekirin’s Fish Story may now turn out to be a song powerful enough to save the world.

Kirin (Joe Odagiri) is the adopted son of Yuda (Anthony Wong Chau-Sang), a rich Chinese man living in Brazil. As Yuda’s son and right-hand man, Kirin rises to power in his father’s industry. But soon Yuda is arrested for bribery, and Kirin is left to fight the Yakuza and the police. To add to the confusion, Yuda sends his son a message telling him to give up and surrender. A year later, Kirin is an entirely different person, and he’s planning another fight: This time, against his own father.



Haeundae (12)

Kang Yeon-hee (Ha Ji-won) lost her father in 2004 when a massive tsunami battered Indonesia. Man-sik (Sol Kyung-gu) was traveling with Kang’s father on a fishing boat when the accident happened, but only Man-sik survived.

Because of the accident, Man-sik has difficulty expressing his feelings for Yeon-hee, and he hides his love for her.

Meanwhile, a geologist, Kim Hui (Park Joong-hoon), discovers that the weather patterns in Haeundae look increasingly similar to the climate in Indonesia just before the tsunami hit. He tries to convince authorities to warn the public of the approaching danger, but no one listens to him.

Vacationers frolic on the beach, unaware that a massive storm is approaching at the speed of 800 kilometers per hour. By the time they discover what’s happening, they have just 10 minutes left before the storm hits.



My Bloody Valentine 3-D (18)

Tom Hanniger (Jensen Ackles) causes a devastating accident in the small town of Harmony. A mine collapses and six miners are buried alive. The rescue team is able to save just one miner, Harry, but he is in a coma. Authorities and investigators conclude that Harry murdered the other miners in order to save oxygen for himself. On Valentine’s Day, Harry comes out of his coma in a local hospital and ends up killing 22 people.

A decade later, sheriff Axel Palmer (Kerr Smith) is being interviewed on TV to mark the 10-year anniversary of what became known as the “Valentine’s Day Massacre.” He examines the dead bodies and discovers that one of them is missing an organ: its heart. Axel later receives a Valentine’s gift from a secret admirer. Upon opening the package he discovers that it contains, you guessed it, an actual heart. Another serial killer is on the loose.
