“문장의 뼈대가 되는 주성분들로 주어 자리에 students, 서술어 자리에 queue가 왔습니다. ‘as’ 다음에도 문장처럼 보이는 절이 나오지만 이 부분은 접속사 ‘as’와 함께 묶여서 종속절을 이룹니다. 우리말로 해석해 보아도 ‘누가 무엇 무엇을 함에 따라’가 되지 ‘~하다’로 끝나는 문장 형태가 아니죠. 주절의 주요 성분과 함께 종속절의 주요 성분까지 한번에 말해 보도록 하겠습니다.

“두 번째 문장도 첫 문장과 비슷한 구조입니다. 두 번째 문장은 ‘고3 학생들이 오늘 대입 수학능력적성평가시험을 치르도록 되어있는 시점에서 학교가 신종 독감이 퍼지는 것을 막으려고 총력을 기울이고 있다’는 내용입니다. 두 번째 문장을 말해 본 후에 첫 문장까지 붙여서 한 번에 말해 보도록 하세요.
