Burj Dubai, the world’s tallest building located in downtown Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, opened to the public on Jan. 4. The more than 800-meter (2,625-foot) tall skyscraper was built in a joint venture between Korea’s Samsung C&T Corporation, Belgium’s Besix Group and the U.A.E.’s Arabtec. It took almost six years to complete after the groundbreaking ceremony took place in 2004. [YONHAP]

아랍에미리트의 두바이에 지어진 세계 최고 건물인 버즈두바이가 1월4일 일반에 공개됐다. 높이 800미터 이상의 초고층인 이 건물은 한국의 삼성물산과 벨기에의 베식스 그룹, 아랍에미리트의 아랍테크가 공동투자로 지었다. 2004년에 기공식을 가졌고 6년여 만에 완공했다. [연합]
