Park Ji-sung and Manchester advance in Champions League
Park Ji-sung helped Manchester United defeat AC Milan 4-0 in a Champions League round of 16 match at earlier today with strong defensive play and a goal.
“It always feels good to score, but it felt especially nice to score on home ground,” Park said in a post-match interview to the media. “We won 4-0 but it was a tough match.”
Park was given the task of marking Andrea Pirlo not only ably defended the AC Milan player, but also scored the team’s third goal of the match, earning high praise from manager Alex Ferguson.
Wayne Rooney scored the first two goals for Manchester United before Park added the third goal and Darren Fletcher headed in the fourth.
Manchester United advances to the quarterfinals of the Champions League tourney by defeating AC Milan on an aggregate score of 7-4.
