‘1 Night, 2 Days’ producer awarded prime minister’s commendation
Na, 35, will receive the commendation from Lee Don-koo, the minister of the Korea Forest Service, on Wednesday during a ceremony for the 10th anniversary of Mountain Day at Seoul Forest in central Seoul.
According to the KFS, Na was awarded the commendation because of his efforts to promote forest leisure activities and introduce various travel sites through “1 Night, 2 Days” over the past four years.
“Our mountains and trekking trails are great tourist attractions that contain our culture and traces of our ancient history,” Na said. “I will try hard to discover more of our mountains’ precious attributes.”

'1박2일' 나영석 PD 국무총리 표창 받는다
KBS 2TV '해피선데이-1박2일'의 연출자 나영석 PD가 산의 날을 맞아 국무총리 표창을 받는다.
산림청 측은 16일 오전 "나영석 PD가 19일 오후 2시 서울숲 가족마당에서 열리는 제 10회 산의 날 기념식에서 국무총리 표창을 받는다"고 밝혔다.
나영석 PD는 지난 4년 동안 '1박2일'을 제작하며 건강한 산림 휴양과 여가문화를 보급하는 데 노력한 공로를 인정받았다. 저렴한 가격에 누구나 쉽게 가서 즐길 수 있는 자연여행지를 발굴하고 인위적 설정없이 자연경관의 장점을 부각시켜 야영문화를 확산시키는 데에도 크게 기여했다는 평가를 받았다.
나영석 PD는 "지리산 둘레길 편을 제작하면서 그 곳이 단순한 등산길이 아니라 들과 밭, 그리고 마을이 하나로 연결된 자연학습장임을 알게 됐다"며 "우리 산과 둘레길은 문화의 향기와 옛사람의 흔적이 들어있는 훌륭한 관광컨텐츠였다. 우리 산의 가치를 발견하는 데 더 노력하겠다"고 말했다.
