LG U+ cloud computing reaches 10,000 subscribers
LG U+, the country’s smallest mobile carrier, announced yesterday that the subscribers to its corporate cloud computing service broke the 10,000 mark, becoming the first mobile carrier to reach that level. Early this year, the company launched Cloud Office, which offers 100-gigabyte storage for consumers. Cloud computing allows users to store data and software in remote data centers, affording people greater mobility as they can access the files and software anywhere, anytime. LG U+ said that its clients include many SMEs, adding that it will further expand its corporate cloud computing business. With new services and products, the company said it expects the number of its consumers to more than double by the end of next year.
