According to a Web site that lists the wealthiest people in Korea rocker Seo Taiji owns the most expensive building. Chaebul.com revealed that the singer owns a building worth around 30 billion won ($26,016,372).
The building, located in Nonhyun-dong in Gangnam District, puts Seo streaks ahead of other celebrity landlords as it is thought that the average price of celebrity owned buildings was around 5 billion won.
The building was purchased in 2002 and is six six storeys high and features three underground levels. It is around 722.5 square meters, with a value of 9.5 million won per square meter.
Other celebrities to make it on to the list were actor couple Jang Dong-gun and Go So-young, who own three buildings between Gangnam and Gangbuk Districts worth a total of 28 billion won and celebrity couple Cha In-pyo and Shin Ae-ra, who own a building worth 22 billion won, also in Gangnam District.
Chaebul.com said they took into account this year’s official appraisal value, past real estate transactions on nearby buildings as well as depreciation value in order to compile the list.
