TVXQ to tour 11 cities in Japan for more than 450 thousand fans

K-pop duo TVXQ will kick-off their Japanese tour on Jan. 18 at Yokohama Arena in Japan. The tour will continue until March and the band will take to 11 cities including Nagoya, Fukuoka, Nigata, Sapporo, Hiroshima, Fukui and Osaka.
A total of 24 concerts will be performed by the band.

Initially there were only to be 20 performances for the “Live Tour 2012- Tone” concert, but due to the demand of Japanese fans, four more performances were added. Two additional performances were penciled in for the Tokyo Dome venue and another two for Osaka Kyocera Dome. Some 450 thousand fans will see the band perform over the duration of the Japanese tour.

The boy band is extremely popular in Japan and according to MSN Japan, the group came in at first on the list of top 50 most searched celebrities.
Recently the band made an appearance at the end of the New Year’s Eve music concert NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen in Japan. The band’s performance garnered viewers’ ratings of 42.6 percent, testifying just how popular the Korean duo is in the neighboring nation of Japan.
