Doosan bags large power plant contract in India

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction said yesterday that it has secured a 120 billion won ($107 million) deal to improve the capacity of a power plant in India.

Under the deal with West Bengal Power Development, Doosan Heavy will work to improve turbines and boilers at a power production plant in West Bengal. Doosan Heavy will complete the project by May 2014, it said.

Last month, the company clinched orders worth 1.5 trillion won to build five boilers for Indian power plants.
