Mnet’s “Wide Entertainment News” reported on Tuesday that G-Dragon entered SM Entertainment as an 8-year-old but failed to make it big. He moved to YG Entertainment at 13.
Netizens were shocked that SM Entertainment failed to see potential in the high-profile entertainer and speculated that the agency must be feeling the brunt of its misjudgment.
Entertainers belonging to SM Entertainment are known by their good looks and often receive free cosmetic surgery when they sign up with the agency. Some of the artists belonging to the agency include Girls’ Generation, TVXQ and SHINee.
YG Entertainment, on the other hand, has a reputation for promoting talented groups even if they are not blessed with good looks.
