Amidst the bourgeoning rumors of the group bullying Hwayoung, which supposedly led her to leave T-ara, Core Contents Media has announced the indefinite postponement of the group’s Korean concert.
The show was set to take place on Aug. 11 at Olympic Park in eastern Seoul, but the agency announced on Aug. 1 that the girls asked the agency head to put off the event for the time being.
“The girls said they wouldn’t be able to perform to their optimum given their present condition,” said a spokesperson from the agency. “Kim Gwang-su agreed and decided to postpone the show.”
A notice has been put on Interpark.com about the refund procedures but apparently only 20-30 cases of refunds have been made as yet.
Despite the setback, T-ara will still look toward touring Japan early next year.
The agency which manages the group’s Japanese involvement announced that the group’s popularity will propel the group to hold its first arena tour there.
“Following the success of ‘Jewelry Box’ tour, the band will entertain some 150,000 fans early 2013,” said EMI Japan. Meanwhile, at the end of October, T-ara will also release a single titled “Sexy Love” in Japan.
