The Plaza Hotel Seoul

To Nov. 30: The Italian restaurant Tuscany introduces the “Autumn Symphony” course in which features a 100-year-old balsamic vinegar, Acetaia Reale, and Primo extra virgin olive oil from Sicily. Course sets are prepared by head chef Samuel Zucca.

Regarded as one of the best premium balsamic vinegars, Acetaia Reale has a smooth taste due to its longer aging process. As for the olive oil, it has been certified by the Italian government and classified as “Protected Designation of Origin.” T-bone steak is the main dish of the course. For dessert, a chocolate-coated almond cake with handmade chestnut ice cream will be served. The Autumn Symphony Course set consists of eight menus and priced at 150,000 won, excluding tax and service charge.

Millennium Seoul Hilton

To Nov. 30: The Chinese restaurant Taipan is inviting guests to taste two set menus of sizzling plate specialties. A la carte selections are also available. The set menus include steamed abalone with black moss, braised sea cucumber filled with minced shrimp, and sauteed hanwoo, or Korean beef, steak with black pepper sauce. They are priced at 105,000 won ($96) and 140,000 won. Tax and service charge is not included. A la carte selections include grilled lobster with cheese chili sauce at 130,000 won, sauteed abalone with butter sauce at 31,000 won and seafood fried rice at 30,000 won. All prices exclude tax and service charge.

Novotel Ambassador Gangnam

To Dec. 5: The Bistro located on the lobby floor was renovated under the direction of new chef Patrice Guilbert and transformed into a contemporary French restaurant. The new list of 50 menus includes meat and seafood supplied from Jeju Island and Andong city in North Gyeongsang, known as one of the market centers of Korea. The a la carte menus are priced at 15,000 won to 52,000 won, lunch set at 38,000 won to 49,000 won and dinner set at 63,000 won. All prices are subject to tax.

The restaurant plans a lunch special through Dec. 5. Guests who reserve online beforehand will be presented with a glass of wine.

Sheraton Grande Walkerhill

Dec. 17 to 23: The hotel performing arts center, Walkerhill Theater, will host the dinner show Carmen Mota’s Fuego, traditional Spanish Flamenco. The show is produced in collaboration with legendary choreographer Carmen Mota and Wayne Fowkes, director of the well-known musical “Notre-Dame de Paris.” Spanish cuisine will be served throughout the performance.

Guests who wish to stay overnight may enjoy the “Carmen Mota’s Fuego Package.” It consists of a one-night stay in the Club Deluxe, Club Sweet or Club Family Sweet. As well as breakfast, the dinner show, giveaway presents and a Flamenco DVD with Carmen Mota’s autograph. The price starts at 629,900 won, including tax and services charge.

Nov. 26 to Dec. 31: The hotel’s Italian restaurant Verona will be presenting the “Enjoy the American Grill at Verona” promotion.

Along with salad, roast prime rib and dessert, delicacies of truffle, foie gras and Sicilian olives will also be available.

Set dinner menus will include a six-course meal of steak, caprese in grilled baguette, bucatini with sea urchin egg and many more delights.

The price of the lunch menu starts at 46,000 won and 82,000 won for the dinner menu.
