KBS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

Friday: The KBS Symphony Orchestra will deliver New Year greetings with Czech music. Performing under well-known conductor Leos Svarovsky, the program will feature pianist Jan Simon.
The orchestra will play “My Country” No. 1-4, symphonic poems by Smetana and “The Concerto for Piano and Orchestra in G minor, Op. 33” by Dvorak.
The concert begins at 8 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday: “Ukchuk-ga” is a pansori (narrative singing) show inspired by Brecht’s “The Mother Courage and Her Children.” It tells the story of how a devastating war provokes fear, sorrow and sympathy.
Each of the 15 characters has a different voice and personality, but Lee Ja-ram nails each perfectly. Lee has also been invited to perform at the Theatre National Populaire in France and the Hungarian Theatre of Cluj in Romania.
