Ji helps Augsburg to victory with first goal
Ji Dong-won scored his first goal for Augsburg, helping the club beat Hoffenheim 2-1 in a Bundesliga match at the Impuls Arena on Saturday.
The 22-year-old Korean forward scored the get-ahead goal in the 45th minute, his first point since his move on loan from English Premier League side Sunderland last month. He has played in six games for Augsburg so far.
His compatriot Koo Ja-cheol made another contribution to the Augsburg victory, setting up for Sascha Molders’ goal in the 79th. It was the second assist of the season for Koo, 23, who has scored three goals this season. Hoffeheim reduced the deficit on Igor De Camargo’s goal in stoppage time.
