Mideast mag chooses Equus‘2013 Best Luxury Sedan’
Hyundai Motor said yesterday its flagship model Equus was selected as “2013 Best Luxury Sedan” by Automobile Magazine, one of the leading automobile publications in the Middle East.
According to the nation’s largest automaker, it beat out foreign competitors like Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series and Audi A8.
Hyundai hopes the award will boost its brand value in the Middle East, where there is a higher-than-average percentage of luxury car sales. The automaker currently promotes Equus and Genesis in the region, and the combined sales of two premium models were 1,535 units in the first four months of the year. The company plans to sell a total of 5,800 units of Equus and Genesis in the region this year.
