Lee Seung-cheol tops chartSinger Lee Seung-cheol has put his name at the top of the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 chart yesterday with the song “My Love” released last week. It is the first time for the singer to be recognized on the global music chart.
“Wow, what an honor! All the fans out there, thank you very much,” he said yesterday on Twitter.
The song has proven popular among local fans and hit the top spot on major local music charts.
Lee will meet with fans as he starts his national tour “Beach Voice” today at Changwon Convention Center in South Gyeongsang to celebrate the release of his 11th album. The tour will be happening in seven cities including Jeonju, Seoul, Anyang, Daegu and Busan until Aug. 10. The Seoul concerts are on July 12 and 13.
“Lee is very passionate about the upcoming concert tour as it is to commemorate his first album in four years,” said an official organizing the concert.
“We hope fans can bring back good memories as the concert will combine Lee’s live performance with some interesting stage design.”
It is said that Lee suggested having an ice sculpture to decorate the stage for the concert.
On the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 chart, Sista took second place with its new song “Give It To Me,” and former contestant of “Superstar K3” Kim Ye-rim took third with her first solo “All Right.”
