Bae seen in the North

Kenneth Bae (in both photos) the Korean-American tour guide sentenced to 15 years of compulsory labor in North Korea, is seen for the first time at a labor camp. He held an interview with the Choson Sinbo, a pro-North paper in Japan, yesterday, which reported that Bae works from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, the first time for a U.S. citizen to be sentenced to such labor. Because the U.S. does not have diplomatic ties with Pyongyang, officials from the Embassy of Sweden went to visit him, and he requested to be freed. Courtesy of Choson Sinbo
