Jay Park’s EP off to great start
It was ranked No. 1 on iTunes in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia and the Philippines soon after the release, and also ranked high on iTunes in Taiwan, the United States, Canada, and Australia, according to Park’s agency, SidusHQ.
Because of the EP’s success within a day of its release, the agency has pledged to try to keep the global attention and help promote the EP in Korea.
Fans welcome the arrival of the EP, on which Park served as a producer. He also wrote all four songs and composed three of them.
Industry experts said that Park presented his mature self in this new EP, which is a change from the boy-like image he had shown in his previous EP, “Joah,” released in April.
The title song, “I Like 2 Party,” was included in the Hollywood movie, “After Earth,” which was released in Korea in May. The song played during the closing credits of the version of the film that was reformatted for Korean audiences.
