Hanjin Group, affiliates adding 400 high-level part-time jobs

Hanjin Group, the nation’s ninth-largest conglomerate, said yesterday it will hire 400 employees through a time-selective working-hour system.

Hanjin Group’s core affiliate and the nation’s largest air carrier, Korean Air Lines, will hire 200 people, while other affiliates like Hanjin Corp., Jin Air and Air Korea will offer high-level part-time jobs. Those who get the jobs can work four to six hours a day, while their salary is determined by their working hours.

The group said that it will accept applicants through its website (www.hanjin.net) beginning Friday. It will also participate in a time-selective working-hour job fair at COEX in Seoul on Tuesday to help applicants.

Other conglomerates like Samsung, LG, Lotte and Shinsegae also have announced plans to offer jobs through the time-selective working-hour system.
