Kara concert in Japan ends in tears

The girl group Kara completed the last performance of its concert tour in Japan on Sunday, giving a tearful goodbye to its fans.

After performing 27 songs for 7,000 fans in Kobe on Sunday, some of the members burst into tears, saying that they are thankful for being members of the group.

The tears and comments made during the concert garnered much attention because Nicole, one member of the group, is reportedly about to leave the group and return to the United States in February to study music.

“Although there have been some hard times, seeing [the fans] reminded me why I wanted to sing and dance in the first place,” Nicole said toward the end of the concert.

Kang Ji-young, another member of Kara whose contract with DSP Media expires in April, also shed tears and said she is happy.

“I’m so thankful that you encourage me,” she said to the audience.

“I again feel touched and so happy. I will never forget today.”
