Hanjin Group presents large donation to Community Chest
Hanjin Group yesterday donated 3 billion won ($2.8 million) to local charity group Community Chest of Korea in an initiative to help those who are in need during the Christmas holiday season.Korean Air President Ji Chang-hoon and Community Chest of Korea Chairman Lee Dong-kurn attended the delivery ceremony.
The country’s ninth-largest conglomerate has focused on reinforcing its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program this year, launching its “WITH” campaign and establishing social service groups within the company.
Specializing in logistics with its affiliates, Korean Air Lines and Hanjin Shipping, the group has been carrying out various CSR activities around the world.
