Psy shows he’s a total ‘Nut Job’
The singer Psy has long been a little crazy, but now it looks like he’s nutty, too. Kind of. It turns out a Psy-like character will be making an appearance in animated film “The Nut Job.”
The 3-D animated movie is being co-produced by Korean company RedRover and Canada’s Toonbox Entertainment and is due to be released Jan. 17 on around 3,000 screens in the United States.
When the credits roll after the movie, a 3-D Psy will come out performing the famous “horse dance” from his hit song “Gangnam Style,” along with several of the other characters from the movie.
Many of the distributors who attended a recent screening of the film said they were impressed by its quality, according to Psy’s management company, YG Entertainment, yesterday.
The 45 billion won ($42.8 million) movie is the story of a squirrel and rat who team up to rob a nut store.
“Nut Job” features many leading Hollywood stars voicing the characters, including Katherine Heigl, Liam Neeson and Will Arnett.
