Hyundai MnSoft, an in-car infotainment system developer under Hyundai Motor Group, said yesterday it has come up with a navigation system that can update information automatically.
Most drivers have to remove the SD card and connect with computers to update map data. However, Hyundai MnSoft said its system employs tethering technology, which use cell phones as wireless modems, to download data.
The company invested 3.5 billion won ($3.3 million) since 2011 to develop the system.
