Long journey, short track

South Korea’s short track skaters, Shim Suk-hee, left, and Sin Da-woon talk to the press at Incheon International Airport yesterday before departing for a training camp in France ahead of the Sochi Olympics.

The 16-year-old Shim, who dominated the International Skating Union World Cup events, is one of Korea’s strongest hopes for gold. The 20-year-old Sin is also a gold-medal hope.

The skaters will train in high altitudes at Font-Romeu, France, before heading to the Russian city of Sochi, where the Games start on Feb. 7. [NEWS1]
