FIRST FULL MOON DAY EVENT

Seongbuk Global Village Center

Feb. 13: Seongbuk Global Villiage Center will hold an event for foreigners in which participants can experience the traditional activities of the first full Lunar New Year moon at 10 a.m. in the center. Only 30 people may join. The event is on a first-come, first-served basis.

BERLIN PHILHARMONIC

Goethe Institut Korea

Feb. 20: The Goethe Institut in Korea will invite the Berlin Philharmonic to Korea. The orchestra, dedicated to commemorating the 150th anniversary of Richard Georg Strauss, will be led by conductor Simon Rattle. The performance will be held at the institute in Yongsan District, central Seoul, at 7 p.m. Admission is free.

KOREAN FUSION DANCE

Seocho District Office

Feb. 21: Seocho District Office holds a dance performance by Korean Dance Company Kim Nayoung Ahrhee for free at 7:30 p.m. at Seocho District Community Center, located near Yangjae Station. The theme of the performance will be heroic figures of the Imjin War during Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910).

CURATOR MEETING SESSION

Feb. 22: The French Cultural Center will invite French curator Bernard Marcade to discuss exhibitions he has planned. In France, he led an exhibit called ‘Ile Royale’ which features works of Korean artists with educational backgrounds in the European country. The session will be held at the center from 6:30 p.m.
