The classic K-pop group Shinhwa’s coming concert is sold out, celebrating the group’s 16th anniversary, according to local reports yesterday.

Ticket sales kicked off on Wednesday at 8 p.m. and by Thursday all 27,000 seats were gone.

On the day sales opened, “Shinhwa Concert” was ranked the No. 1 most-searched term on Korea’s online search engines. The online shopping mall Interpark also crashed for several hours, reportedly due to the heavy traffic.

The concert, titled “Here,” takes place at Olympic Hall in southeastern Seoul, the location of the group’s first concert in 2001 and their 2012 concert, where Shinhwa reunited for its first show in four years.

“We appreciate the love and support the fans have shown for the concert,” said a spokesman for Shinhwa Company, the group’s agency.

“The members will repay that support with some great performances in the same venue where Shinhwa concerts have been held for three consecutive years.”
