Ikea Korea to open ‘Hej Home!’ story room to introduce brand

Ikea Korea, the Sweden-based home furnishing company, said yesterday that it will open the “Hej Home!” story room at the 915 Industry Gallery in Garosu-gil in Sinsa-dong, southern Seoul, from March 12 to 30. The story room will let consumers “meet and experience the Ikea concept and brand stories.” There is no charge to visit the 230-square-meter (2,470-square-foot) story room and it will not sell any products from Ikea. “Before the opening of the Ikea Gwangmyeong store at the end of the year, we are glad to meet with consumers in Korea through ‘Hej Home!’” said Ulf Smedberg, the company’s country marketing manager. The story room will be open from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. It is closed on Mondays.
