Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Mong-koo, left, and Sun Zhengcai, Chongqing municipality secretary of Communist Party of China, right, met yesterday to sign a joint strategy agreement on constructing Korea’s largest automaker’s new manufacturing facility in the city, at Yuzhou Hotel in Chongqing. The agreement is about Hyundai to push the plant construction in the city, while the city supports with construction. The two heads discussed the auto industry to be formed around the city, and future investment measures. Through the new plant, Hyundai hopes to expand in the western part of China.
