Exo teases clip of new song

K-pop group Exo teased their new song, “Overdose” yesterday on their official YouTube channel. Shortly after uploading the video, fans from all across the world responded with great enthusiasm, posting more than 1,000 comments expressing their excitement over the boys’ comeback.

The group’s return has been a hot topic in the Korean entertainment industry over the past week. On Thursday, their new song was leaked online through a dance practice video featuring Exo-K members, a Korean subunit of the group, dancing to the new track in their studio at SM Entertainment building in southern Seoul.

“The video was filmed in order to be sent to the MBC production team of ‘Music Core,’ the program on which Exo will appear,” an agency official said through a press release the same day. “Whoever posted the video will face legal action.”

The agency added that it had immediately requested a prosecutors’ investigation concerning the illegal leak. Most of the video clips have so far been removed.

Meanwhile, Exo debuts in Japan today at Saitama Super Arena, where they will perform in front of about 100,000 Japanese fans during their two-day showcase, “‘EXO Greeting Party in Japan: Hello!”

Korean fans, meanwhile, can enjoy the band’s new song at their official comeback show on Tuesday night.

The show starts at 8 p.m. at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in southeastern Seoul.
