Audi A3 wins Car of the Year at New York Auto Show

Audi Korea said yesterday that the Audi A3 won 2014 World Car of the Year at the New York Auto Show held in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

The third generation of the Audi A3 won the 2014 World Car of the Year Award, beating its rivals BMW 4 Series and Mazda 3 on a list of 24 cars. The Audi A3 is available as a 3-door, Sportback, Cabriolet and Sedan. The A3 sedan was first released in Korea last January. Audi Korea plans to show a plug-in hybrid model (PHEV) of the A3, the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron, to the Korean public at the Busan International Motor Show next month. The A3 Sportback e-tron has a total driving range of 940 kilometers (584 miles, European standard) and about 50 kilometers in electric-only mode.
