On Sunday afternoon of April 20, hundreds of Indonesian community in Ansan, Gyeonggi, assembled at Ansan Migrant Centre to grieve over the tragic Sewol ferry accident on April 16 and pray for the victims and their families. The Indonesian community in Ansan has asked the Embassy of Indonesia in Seoul to extend their sympathy and sadness on their behalf, and also for each and every Indonesian in Korea.

Indeed, our hearts and prayers are with the Korean people at this time of sorrow. The President and the Foreign Minister of Indonesia earlier extended their deepest and heartfelt condolences to the government of Korea and to the families of the victim of this tragic ferry disaster on behalf of the government and the people of Indonesia. They stand ready to provide necessary support to the rescue efforts.
