Schools getting discount on their electricity bills
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said yesterday that electricity bills for schools will be lowered 6.3 percent compared to a year ago after it approved a plan offered by Korea Electric Power Corporation.The ministry said that in addition to a discount that was announced last November, Kepco will give an additional 4 percent discount to schools starting next month.
Schools will save a total of 134 billion won ($130 million).
