Starbucks Korea debuts app for pre-ordering beverages
Starbucks Korea yesterday launched the world’s first smart order system called the Siren Order Service, in which the global coffee chain’s reward members order drinks and make payments in advance on their smartphone applications.
Customers can pick up their drinks when they arrive at the store, saving time that would be spent waiting in line. Once customers turn on the app inside the store, they can check on the drink-making process. It also vibrates to alert the customer when drinks are ready.
More than one million customers are registered as Starbucks reward members.
