Girl’s Day to release album in July
Four-member band Girl’s Day will release a special album next month to celebrate their fourth anniversary, according to their agency Dream T Entertainment.
“The album will hit the stores on July 14, which is the day they debuted in 2010,” said an agency official yesterday.
The agency added that a new single has been written by megahit music producers Double Sidekick, also known as Mike and Jang-geun, who were behind Girl’s Day’s 2013 single “Something.”
“There will be some summer seasonal songs in the album,” the Dream T official noted.
Having debuted in the summer of 2010, the group - Min-a, Yu-ra, Hye-ri and So-jin - were not the most popular band on the K-pop scene at first. But after topping the music charts three consecutive times last year, they have become one of the strongest female idol groups in the industry.
Lately, Yu-ra, 21, started appearing in the MBC reality show “We Got Married” with model-turned-actor Hong Jong-hyun.
