Renault Samsung Motors taking preorders for SM5 diesel
Renault Samsung Motors has started to accept preorders for the diesel version of its SM5 midsize sedan that will be officially launched next month.The Korean unit of French automaker Renault said that the SM5 diesel will have a fuel efficiency of 16.5 kilometers per liter (38.8 miles per liter) as it is equipped with Renault’s 1.5 dCi engine and Getrag’s dual clutch transmission.
It will be released with two trim models - SM5 D and SM5 D Special. The former is priced between 25 million won ($24,545) and 26 million won, while the latter will be a million won more.
